1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tropic ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Tropic provides managed cloud hosting for OpenClaw AI agents. Each user receives an isolated virtual machine (VM) with a pre-configured OpenClaw gateway, accessible via a secure web interface.

3. Data Confidentiality

All data you store, generate, or process through the Service is confidential and belongs to you. We do not use your data for any purpose other than providing the Service. We do not share your data with third parties outside of Tropic's controlled infrastructure boundary (see our Privacy Policy for details).

Tropic does not use your data to train AI models. When you use Tropic-provided model API keys, your interactions are not used for training. This is opt-out by default. If you use your own model API key, it is your responsibility to configure your provider account according to your data usage and training preferences.

4. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration.

5. Credits and Billing

  • The Service operates on a prepaid credit system.
  • Credits are consumed based on VM runtime and resource usage.
  • Credits do not expire and are non-refundable except as required by law.
  • New accounts receive a one-time signup bonus of 50 credits.
  • Payments are processed securely by our payment provider.
  • We reserve the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or conduct phishing.
  • Distribute malware or engage in unauthorized access to systems.
  • Abuse VM resources for cryptocurrency mining or denial-of-service attacks.
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other individuals.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

7. VM Environment and Security Responsibilities

  • Each VM is provisioned exclusively for your use and is isolated from other users.
  • VMs may be stopped automatically after periods of inactivity to conserve resources.
  • We do not guarantee persistence of data on stopped or terminated VMs unless backups are enabled.
  • You are responsible for any third-party API keys or credentials you store on the Service.

Tropic provides security controls including agent policies, command restrictions, and network isolation. You are responsible for configuring and maintaining these controls to meet your security requirements. Tropic is not liable for security incidents resulting from your configuration choices, disabled controls, or actions taken by agents operating within your granted permissions.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tropic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.

Tropic is not liable for data loss, unauthorized access, or security breaches caused by your use of the platform, your configuration of security controls, or actions performed by agents you deploy. Tropic's liability is limited to incidents directly caused by Tropic's own negligence, such as accidental exposure or deletion of your data by Tropic's systems or personnel.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

10. Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your VMs will be shut down and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
